Limburgers are true Burgundians. Great food, good company, and grand celebrations: that is the (self) image of our province. But what traces remain today of those Burgundians who ruled what we now call Limburg in the 15th century?
From October, you can dive into stories that will teach you more about Burgundian traditions (some real, some invented), Limburg gastronomy, and the tradition of militia.

What do your perception of our Burgundian legacy?
In the unique exhibition ‘Burgundians in Limburg’, on display at the Limburgs Museum from 4 October 2025 to 1 February 1 2026, you will travel back to the late Middle Ages. Immerse yourself in characteristic music, beautiful objects, and intriguing stories featuring three generations of Burgundians: the illustrious dukes Philip the Good, Charles the Bold, and Mary the Rich.
