Occupation and liberation of Limburg

In September 1944, the far south of Limburg was liberated . At that time no one expected that the liberation of the rest of the province was still six months away. The arrival of allied troops in the northern villages of Arcen,  Velden, Bergen and Well on 3 March 1945, marks the liberation of the whole province.

The stories about the occupation and liberation of Limburg are many. We pass them on, from generation to generation - lest we forget.
